ABOUT ME

Myself pictured with Tommy

My name is Kristy. I have had show dogs for the past 25 years. I started with Cairn Terriers and with help
from Val Palmer of Towstytyke I have had 10 Champions, 2 Gr Ch, Multi Royal Challenges and BOB, Many
Best in Groups and Reserves and Classes in Show.

I started showing dogs at the age of 10. I got involved in junior handlers at the age of 11 and Achieved
many junior handling wins including 2 Runner-Up In the State and a 2nd in the senior class at the Qld State Finals of Pedigree PAL Junior Dog Handlers Competition.

I have also had the opportunity to show many quality dogs in this time to champion titles, several Grand
Champions, many Best In Groups, and Best In Shows. I Thank all those people and they know who they are for their help and the opportunity to show these lovely dogs and thank them for their continued friendship.

When I moved out of home I had to leave the Cairns behind (mum & dad wouldn't part with them) there was a large void that I never dreamed would be filled by Staffords. When I met Craig (Beaurite Staffords) I began showing Honey (CH Beaurite Red Sunset) and fell in love with Staffords. I handled this girl to her title and several Best in Groups and began to take an active interest in Craig's dogs and the bloodlines behind them. I began the search for a girl that would not only compliment what we had in our yard but would also be my first Stafford.

Along came my beautiful Bailey (CH Orazz Turradh) she was my constant companion even coming to work
with me on a regular basis and prompting me to register my own prefix "BXACT". Bailey titled with relative ease
at the age of 16 months winning several Best in Groups. Bailey lived as part of my family she had the most
gorgeous personality and it broke my heart when we tragically lost her to snake bite. I have her tattooed on my shoulder as a constant reminder that she will always be with me.

My next addition was Porcha (Ch Joden Temptress) who joined me as a 6 month old puppy quite by accident. She belonged to Renee who was my nail artist and after a visit to her home one day when she mentioned that she
didn’t have time for the staffords at that point in her life with a young daughter I was thrilled to purchase Porcha
from Renee (Many thanks). Porcha entered the ring in September at nearly 9 months and took out Minor in Show & Puppy of the Day. She has never looked back going on to win several Specialty Best In Shows and Class in Shows. She gained her title at 17 months of age with Runner Up Best In Group and has had several Best In group awards in the all breeds ring. She passed away just shy of her 16th Birthday & will be greatly missed by all who knew her well.

Since then I have continued to build on these foundations for Bxact. Breeding is an art and sometimes no matter how much research you put in things don’t always go to plan. I only breed a couple of litters a year and only if I can / intend to retain something to show and breed in the future.

ORIGINS OF "BXACT" PREFIX

Pronounced "Be eXact" it has two meanings one the obvious to be exact in the quality of dogs produced, the decisions made to achieve my goals & that our success is no accident - its purposeful/exact. The second is below a tribute to those that got me started on my own breeding journey.

B - An homage to Craig's prefix (Beaurite) who got me started in Staffords

X - A nod to Carmel (Xioping) & the amazing dogs I co-owned & campaigned
A - Stands for Acoping which was my joint prefix for the Shar-pei

C - Carnilka the prefix I still share with my mum for the cairn terriers

T - In honour of the person (Towsytyke) who gave me my first real show dog
